Guro praseeda kripayaa vidhehiTvat paada bhaktim paramaanuraktim
The gratitude in my heart can never be fully expressed in spite of my best efforts!
O Teacher, be gracious and bless me with devotion, of the nature of Supreme Love to your Feet.
Gratitude to the Guru
“yada hyeva esha etasmin….abhayam pratishthaam vindate. Atha saha abhayam gato bhavati” – Taittiriya Upanishad – II.vii.3
When Atman attains the fearless oneness with Brahman, then he becomes free from fear.
When someone gives us food, water, wealth etc. we feel so grateful. Indescribable is the gratitude for the Master who quenches our thirst for eternal happiness and makes us fearless.
Eyes fill with tears and the emotion overwhelms to the point of rendering the disciple speechless as he remembers the Satguru.
The Satguru’s actions fill the disciples hearts with gratitude.
With this motivation that I will keep serving HIM through my work to express my gratitude…one keeps working.
In that state of gratitude one says – Bless me that I have devotion to your feet and supreme devotion.
May we surrender to HIM completely and let the mind become still and we realize our oneness with HIM. That is the gurudakshina we offer to the Master and out of that fullness whatever seva we do, is a small offering to HIM.
The two feet/Padukas of the Master are the altar of surrender for the Seeker and signify that we wake up and Awaken others to Self-Knowledge. They also represent the unconditional Love accompanied by the hard hits of the Master which destroy the ego. We live in humility & follow a value-based life. We have devotion & gratitude for the Satguru.
His life itself is a scripture, His words are hymns, His actions are blessings upon the world. He is the fulfilled, the perfect. In such an accomplished Man, we watch God and His Play.
Vande Chinmaya Satgurum
UNTO HIM OUR BEST

Sidhabari & Sarso
In 1992 while looking at the Sarso(mustard) fields around Sidhbari, Dharamsala, Swamiji remarked
It is all a delusion.
When the sarso was born, I was there.
When the sarso became green, I was there.
When the sarso flowered, I was there.
Sarsos come and sarsos go, But I remain always.
“Whenever you need me, close your eyes and look into your heart and I will be there”

Gratitude
This is the last experience that the visitor sees before they leave. The exhibit is a graphic panel depicting a large mustard field based on Swami Chinmayananda’s words that affirm he will always remain with his devotees. An image of the Padukas represent the blessings of the master.
