Workshop on Face it or Fear it at Chinmaya Varashree
Yuvaveer Prashanti conducted a workshop on ‘Face it or Fear it’ for 30 children aged 12 to 15 years. Sevikas Archana Natraj, Manjiri Lavakare and Nisha Parekh helped co-ordinate the session. The session started with the kids sharing what they feared.

On the occasion of Shree Hanuman Jayanti on Friday,19 April,'19, 150 devotees participated in Puja and chanting of Shree Hanuman Chalisa from 8 am. to 6pm. New comers were enchanted and looking forward to attend upcoming Festival Celebrations at Chinmaya Sagar. For us it is not a mere event to accomplish but an opportunity to learn and live every minute with Yagna bhavana - team spirit; to make an effort to reverberate every heart with HIS name.

The camp started with ice-breakers, where the children got to know each other and they interacted enthusiastically. Post ice-breaker, a story session was conducted by Yuvaveers in which the children got to know how Curious, Brave and Charming Hanumanji was, at a young age.

Smt. and Shri Thadani had arranged for 108 times chanting of Hanuman Chalisa at their residence, as done by them every year. The occasion was graced by Swami Advaitanandaiji and attended by hundreds of devotees. The chanting went smoothly under guidance of Smt. Shyamala Acharya, concluding with Hanuman aarti, Gurudev’s aarti and melodious bhajans. Devotees were charged by the positive vibrations of Hanumanji and it was a blissful experience.

Swami Swatmananda’s talks on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti were attended by about a hundred people. The session covered unknown stories of how Hanuman, a brahmachari, married Suvarchala, daughter of Surya Bhagavan, became eligible to learn Nava Vyakarnas and continued to be a celibate.

In the morning sessions, Swamiji spoke on Taittiriya Upanishad, Brahmanand Valli. He explained how Brahman is inexplicable and cannot be perceived by any of the sense organs; Brahman can be indicated by Satyam, Gnyanam and Anantam. Swamiji said the world was a creation of God, explaining the concept of Maya, avarana and vikshepa.

Today, 14th April, we had Ram Janam celebrations at the end of Swamiji s Tulasi Ramayana class. Swamiji told us the story of Ram Janam beautifully and we chanted the relevant dohas and Ram Bhajans.
