On 9th May, Smt. Vinita Asrani ji's Thursday study class celebrated Gurudev’s birthday by inviting Smt. Vibha ji Mittal to the class to speak on Who is Guru? Why is a Guru required in one's life? She spoke from Guru Geeta and gave a very meaningful explanation on the subject. Erudite speaker that she is, set our minds contemplating on the various subtle aspects she spoke about. It was a very intense talk.

Chinmaya Mission, Sagar Zone celebrated Seva day by distributing food activity where food was distributed to about 48- 55 poor people in the Babulnath temple area. The breakfast given comprised of packet of toast, banana, mango and vada pav. The people were very happy and grateful.

On 8th May 2019, the 103rd Chinmaya Jayanti was celebrated at Smt. Vibha Mittal’s
residence by her Wednesday Devi group at Pedder road. They began by chanting Guru
Stotram, Guru Paduka Stotram, Pratah Smararnam, Kritagyata and Ashtottara shat namavali
of Pujya Gurudev. The importance of need of a guru was discussed. The session ended with
birthday song, members cut a cake and did Chinmaya Arti.

The Study group of Chinmaya Sagar led by Smt. Trupti Vyas celebrated Chinmaya Jayanti on the 8th of May at Smt. Neelam Mani's house in Colaba. Smt. Vinita Asrani ji gave a talk on Guru Mahima by very beautifully weaving her personal experiences with Gurudev. It was truly a blissful experience to hear her talk about Gurudev’s love, compassion, devotion and light heartedness besides his vast vedantic knowledge. The satsang began with Guru Stotram, and ended with Guru Bhajans and Gurudev' s aarti followed by lunch as Prasad.
