On 6th May Smt. Sheelaji Chitnis’s Monday class performed Paduka Pooja at Smt. Sandhya Oberoi’s house. After the Pooja Sheelaji shared some letters written to her by Gurudev. We had the opportunity to actually hold the letters and feel them. It was a riveting time with soulful bhajans and reminiscences of Gurudev.

On 6th May, Smt. Anjali Dalal’s class celebrated Guru Smaran Saptah with a video viewing of Pujya Gurudev’s talk on the Symbolism of the Ramayan. The session ended with a lot of discussion on the videos and how the sadhanas can be applied in daily life.

The Pedder Road class of Smt. Vibha Mittal celebrated Chinmaya Jayanti on Monday, 6th May. It was a memorable day which began with chanting the Gurudev Pratah Smaran Stotram, Kritagyata, Gurunamamrit Stotra, Guru Paduka Stotram as well as the 108 names of Gurudev. As we chanted in unison, our hearts overflowed with gratitude, love and respect for Pujya Gurudev.

The Saturday morning class at Chinmaya Nursery with Sevika Darshana Kadakia had Guru Smaran Saptah celebration on 4th May. Dr. Sujata Kelkar spoke to the class on Guru, the importance of a Guru in our life, about Gurudev and his continuous blessings and teachings to all of us. She gave real life examples which the members could relate to. The talk ended with Gurudev's Arati.

Hanuman Chalisa chanting at Smt. Harini Nischal’s residence at Pestom Sagar, Chembur went well with the blessings of Hanumanji and Pujya Gurudev’s grace. The atmosphere was charged with devotion and positive energy. Around twenty-five devotees, of which fifteen were Mission members participated in the satsang.

The speaker for the day, Vinita ji, took the class through some reminisces of Gurudev, while highlighting the changes HIS devotees experienced due to the grace, presence and influence of our SADGURU. An extremely poignant and interactive session and befitting tribute to the GURUDEV ahead of his 103rd birth Jayanti.

Insights to our Sanaatan Hindu Culture were aptly showcased at the Tell Me Why Balavihar Family Summer Camp at Chinmaya Vibhooti Kolwan from 2nd - 5th May 2019. This was the 8th Family Summer camp. Helmed by Swami Swatmananda ji, Swamini Nishkalananda ji, Sevaks, Sevikas and Yuvaveers more than 500 participants experienced several aspects of our ancient culture.

at the entrance and one of Lord Ganapati at the top.

On 1st May a satsang was held at Smt. Kishori David’s house in the memory of her husband. Varsha Dalal spoke on Mrityorma Amritam. Everyone was engrossed and enjoyed the talk which lasted for nearly two hours. 2 people were interested to join classes. It was very well attended. There were about 45 people. Dinner was served thereafter.

On 1st May, all the chapters of Bhagawad Gita were chanted at the residence of Mrs. Pushpa Mehta, Bandra. Her daughter organised the event to celebrate her mother’s 81st birthday, on the same day. The chanting was followed by bhajans and concluded with Gita Aarti and Gurudev’s Aarti.

The attendees chanted 6 chapters of the Bhagavad Geeta, consecutively at each satsang. The chanting led by Smt. Vibha Mittal, was for the sadgati for the departed soul.
