Under the guidance of the sevika Smt. Sheila Chitnis, the Study Group celebrated the 103rd Jayanti of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda. The group chanted Guru Stotram and Gurudev’s Ashtothara Namavali. Two members rendered poems written and composed by them on Guru. Sheilaji sang the bhajan on Gurudev, written by Guruji Swami Tejomayananda. Sheilaji shared her memories of time spent with Gurudev and showed the letters he had written to her. Other members also shared their experiences. The highlight of the event was when Sheilaji displayed Gurudev’s vastra and handkerchief, given to her by her mother. The program concluded with aarti and distribution of prasad. The group felt blessed to have Gurudev in their lives.
