An estimated 5–6 million transgender people live in India. They have been deprived of basic rights. They do not have opportunities to work in the economy and hence lead a hand to mouth existence. They are engaged in begging, dancing; and other derogatory works that defile the Human spirit . This is largely due to absence of legal framework in providing employment opportunities.
An attempt to help them in this pandemic where their survival had become a challenge was attempted by the Chinmaya Mission under the MAXIMISE HAPPINESS campaign.
By the grace of GOD and blessings of Pujya Gurudev, an ANNADAAN drive was successfully conducted.
