As Bharat Mata entered into her 74th year of Independence from the British, Chinmaya Yuva Kendra organized a train ride, under the guidance of Swami Swatmananda ji. An Online Journey of Bharat Ma in the past, present and future. Held on the 15th and 16th of August over a 100 participants rode through India's journey of spiritual, cultural, economic, industrial and many types of freedoms across the ages.
There was a wonderful interaction with Capt. Swaminathan of the Indian Army along with quizzes, debates, Pictionary, dumb charades, guess in 30 questions! Starting with the sacrifice of Chanakya, Cholas, Vijayanagar kings, Sikh Gurus, Rani Abakka, The Ahom Dynasty, Marathas, the INA, Ironman Sardar Patel, and so many more we were humbled to truly belong to a nation of heroes. The event concluded with everyone feeling - The Journey is not over yet.
Our ancestors have made immense and gut wrenching sacrifices to hand over this country and culture to us. The onus is now on us especially the youth of Bharat, to usher India into the new age of prosperity outside and peace within. We wish everyone not only on this weekend but a clarion call for the entire year - Happy Independence.
From the conceptualisation to the execution of this program we are extremely grateful to all the volunteers for their efforts and seva - Aravind, Janak, Devesh, Shruti, Nityamukta, Sanjit, Vineet.
Jai Hind.
