Vasant Panchami was celebrated in the presence of Br. Tanmay Chaitanya (Chinmaya Prerana, Navi Mumbai). He performed Saraswati Puja amidst the chanting of Medha Suktam and Devi Saraswati Ashtothara Shatha Namavali. The puja culminated with Jagadeeswara and Pujya Gurudev’s aartis. Tanmayji then gave a talk on the significance of Saraswati Puja. He said that this is the first festival after Uttaraayan commences. Ma Saraswati is the goddess of purity, knowledge, art and creativity. The festival synchronises with the ushering of spring season when Nature is at its best. He said that this festival is celebrated with grandeur in West Bengal and some parts of North India, like how Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated in Maharashtra. It was a divine experience and everybody felt really blessed.
