Swami Swaroopananda conducted a talk on the moola-mantra of Guru Granth Sahib. 53 persons from Hindu and Sikh communities attended the programme. Shri Rajbir Singh felicitated Swamiji with a bouquet of flowers. Dr. Amit Thadhani introduced Swamiji and gave a brief overview of the context of the mantra, inviting Swamiji to deliver his talk.
Swamiji described how he used to recite this mantra in his childhood and explained its deep philosophical meaning, in a lucid and deeply engaging manner. He explained how Vedantic teachings and the teachings of great saints conveyed the same message as Ik Onkaar. This mantra can be considered the foundation of Granth Sahib. Swamiji explained every word of the mantra in detail. There is only One Reality that manifests in different forms, which is fearless and without enemies, eternal and ever-new and realised only by Guru’s grace. The talk was very well received; followed by prasad as lunch.
