Guided by Smt. Vijaya, Bala Vihar children celebrated Navaratri, performing Saraswati Puja, keeping their Bala Vihar books at the altar. Dressed in traditional clothes, they discussed how Ma Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswathi bless us, enabling us to function in our daily lives. This was followed by garba and haldi-kumkum. The celebration concluded with distribution of prasad.
Senior Bala Vihar children, under the guidance of Smt. Mangala, performed Maatru Puja. Children and mothers wore bright colourful clothes. The significance of Navaratri was discussed. They sang bhajans on Maata Saraswati. At the end, haldi-kumkum, gifts and prasad were distributed.
