Swami Bodhatmananda, resident guru of the 17th batch of the Vedanta course at Sandeepany Sadhanalaya conducted satsang at Oberoi Springs, Andheri West. This was attended by around 150 devotees, including students of the 17th batch. He mentioned that we all want Health, Wealth and Happiness; the one thing which can give all three is Wisdom. With wisdom, we can decide what to eat, how much to eat, how much rest we need, how we can use and not abuse our body. This naturally ensures good health and we know that Health is Wealth. He then explained the importance of wealth, indicating that wealth is necessary for the well-being of a person, family and a community and for accomplishing big projects. Our scriptures do not condemn wealth. With wealth we can help others and do charity. Wealth can be external as well as internal. External wealth must be acquired through righteous means. Again, with wisdom, we can decide which profession or business to pursue, take timely decisions and set right goals. Internal wealth is as important as external wealth. Having the right virtues and attitude is very important for success. Wisdom is important for Happiness. With wisdom, one can remain happy in any circumstance in life. A satvik karta (who is not attached to anything other than the Lord, who considers oneself as an instrument of the Lord’s work, maintains balance through success and failure etc.) is always happy. Thus, Swamiji showed us that Wisdom is the key to health, wealth and happiness. Sadhana and Kamal Choudhary, students of the 17th batch of the Vedanta course hosted this satsang.
