Swami Swatmananda’s talks on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti were attended by about a hundred people. The session covered unknown stories of how Hanuman, a brahmachari, married Suvarchala, daughter of Surya Bhagavan, became eligible to learn Nava Vyakarnas and continued to be a celibate. Children and elders listened to the stories with great interest and curiosity. On 17th morning, Swami Swatmananda conducted a workshop on Chinmaya Mission Pledge which held the audience spellbound. On the 19th, Hanuman Jayanti was celebrated with Sri Hanuman Mastak Abhishek in the morning. Hanuman Chalisa was chanted 28 times. Devotees a wonderful experience of performing abhishek with milk, curd, ghee, honey, sugar and coconut water. The celebration concluded with Maha Aarti, followed by mahaprasad. About 250 people attended the function.
