Rama Navami was celebrated with Swamini Krishnapriyanandaji delivering a talk on the significance of Ram janma, through different stories that gave reasons for Ram avataar, very interestingly. She told four different stories, explaining the roles of Naradmuni, Jay-Vijay, Ajatashatru and Manu Satarupa. She said Kashyap muni had two wives, Diti and Aditi. Diti had Kama-vasana during sandhya and gave birth to danavas, whilst Aditi gave birth to devas. She further explained that for an avataar to be born, the parents should have pure mind and clarity of intellect. Manu and Shatrupa wanted to become such parents. So they requested Lord Vishnu to take birth through them, which He did. Swaminiji declared that the Lord should take birth in our heart. For such an avataar, we must be well qualified. The celebration concluded with the chanting of 108 names of the Lord, bhajans, aarti and prasad.
