Rama Navami was celebrated at the Gujarati Seva Mandal, Matunga, in the presence of Swami Swatmananda. The event commenced with a talk by Swamiji on Sri Rama’s life and its significance. The audience, comprising all age groups from children to senior citizens, were amazed at Swamiji’s narrative and they realized there were so many things about Sri Rama’s life that they were not aware of. After the talk, a debate was conducted by Aravind Raghavan, CHYK secretary, Mumbai, for adults. The topic whether the killing of Vali from behind by Sri Rama was a wrong act. While the adults debated, the children prepared a small skit on three Kands of Ramayana, with the help of Bala Vihar Sevikas. This was followed by games for the children. The event was organized by Rhea, Shreyaa and Shubham, CHYK members of Mahima zone and they were assisted by Yuvaveer Janak. The programme concluded with aarti and distribution of prasad.
