The preparations for this year's Geeta Chanting Competition commenced in June 2018 with the Gita Dhootas workshop and culminated in the Area Finals, which was held in SIES School, Matunga. The dhootas started training children, at ten schools, covering 2900 students. The elimination rounds were conducted in November and about 400 children were selected for the finals, including Bala Vihar children. The finals spread over two days, had 16 judges hearing all the participants patiently and diligently. There were about eighty participants from Groups G and H. Br. Samaatma Chaitanya graced the occasion on the first day. The event was a grand success.
