Matru Puja was celebrated at Chinmaya Varashree, 4 pm onwards. The Puja was in two batches, guided by senior Mission member, Smt. Mangala P. Children and parents were welcomed by Vidya Harikrishna, who explained the importance of Matru Puja. She sang Matrstavanam during the Puja, explaining its meaning. Yuvaveer Ganesh and sevika, Rakhee conducted games for the children while they waited in the inner rooms. Smt. Bharati Pai spoke on mother-child relationship and the role of culture in strengthening this bond. Children learnt invaluable lessons on adoration of Mother. The event ended with aarti and prasad. Bala Vihar sevikas and members of Mahima zone worked tirelessly to make this a happy and satisfying event.
