Chinmaya Prakash Zone came together to celebrate Navaratri with Matr-Pitr puja, satsang with Swami Swatmanandaji, followed by garba and dandiya. The presence of more than a hundred people, from almost every state in India packed the venue, Brighton Bungalow, Lokhandwala. Grandparents, parents and children came together under one roof, celebrating the purest of relationships – parent-child. It was heartening to see children doing puja to their parents as guided and explained by Swamiji, thanking them for all that they have done. They were made to understand the meaning of Matr Devo Bhava and Pitr Devo Bhava. Swamiji’s satsang touched upon the significance of the number 9, representing the unchanging Supreme, what garba really means and why Navaratri is celebrated with such glamour. The highlight of the evening was the dancing of dandiya and garba.
