Chinmaya Prakash Zone had a beautiful Janmashtami celebration in the presence of Swami Swatmanandaji and Swami Sughoshanandaji from Ponda, Goa. It was a wonderful spiritual experience of divinity clubbed with fun. Swami Sughoshanandaji enthralled devotees with his bhajans and kathaa of Sri Krishna’s birth, interspersing it with jokes and laughter. Swamiji transported the bhaktas to Gokul where Yashodamaiya, along with the gopis, lovingly swung Krishna’s palna, while singing soothing lori-bhajans. Swamiji’s jovial disposition left the devotees asking for more! There was lot of merry-making when the devotees enthusiastically performed the garba to one of Swamiji’s bhajans. With love in their hearts and amidst the dhwani of jaikar, the devotees dispersed, enjoying home-made maakhan-misri and laddu prasad. It was indeed a memorable celebration of the Lord’s Divine Avatar.
