Jagadeeshwara zone celebrated Seva Day with its regular trip to the Adivasi village inside Aarey Milk Colony. Sevaks gathered together and chanted Guru Strotram, followed by chanting of Om Shri Satguruve Namah. Sevaks then proceeded to their destination in cars and a tempo laden with essential toiletries and clothes. On reaching the village, sevaks set up items for distribution, under Acharya Rao and Trustee Amarji’s supervision. The lamp was lit in the local temple and prayers were offered.
The village coordinator had prepared a list of 75 families, who have been recipients of this donation for the past several years. Each family was given packets of cereal, pulses, vegetables, cooking oil and clothes. The local Baalwadi children were given a packet of toys, educational games and mats. Raoji requested the Baalwadi teachers to come to the ashram for training of sloka recitation and spiritual classes, to pave the way for a Bala Vihar in the village.
Officials from traffic division, Powai Saki Naka donated blankets for village children. President and secretary addressed the villagers about cancer detection camps and requested them to spread the word about the same.
