Swamni Sandhya ji graced the occasion. There were three Havan Kunds where everyone took turns to offer ahutis by chanting the Gaytri Mantra 108 times. The setting was beautiful and serene, with the rising sun as it’s backdrop. The event was well attended and the devotees performed the havan with love and reverence.

The two hour power packed session started with prayers followed by interesting facts on the festival Makar Sankrant by Swami Swatmanandji. Swamiji gave fascinating insights on the spiritual significance of the Sun God through stories and its relevance to the festival celebrated by various names throughout the country and also different parts of the world. This was followed by a clipping on Chhota Bheem reinforcing the same. Doing the surya namaskar and chanting the Gayatri Mantra was so much fun especially after understanding its benefits. The programme concluded with one hour of exciting games based on the facts of the festival. Last, but not the least, a hilarious laughter therapy of yoga with disguised psychological benefits like super-brain yoga was conducted with the help of Yuvaveers. Overall a super session which entertained as well as educated.
