The Sri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations have always been a grand affair at Chinmaya Prerana. The two program on Aug 24 and 25th is much awaited event by all alike.
The day on 24th started off with Narayaneeyam chanting (Selected verses) at 330pm. IT was followed by cultural programs which included Bhajan by Mahalakshmi Bhajan Group, Bharatnatyam by Vineeta Srinandan and Ashtapati dance recital by Ms. Gayatri Iyer and Group and was concluded by Bhajan by Smt. Suyog Marathe.
Br. Yukt Chaitanya had an eloquent session with all listeners spellbound with his insight and indepth knowledge.
The finale was the Janmotsav celebration which was followed by Mahaprasad at 12am.(Midnight).
The next day was abuzz with all the Balvihar and Shishuvihar children from different nodes who showcased their wonderfully and painstakingly planned programs.
Again the children had fun with the elders assisted Dahi Handi breaking.
Our Suraj bhaiya performed the Mahapooja and the Chappan Bhog offering was followed by Aarti and Mahaprasad.
