Geetathon - GGMG
With great enthusiasm Geetathon has taken off in south Mumbai.... 22 areas have been identified from Navy nagar to Worli.
Chinmaya family members and associate are impatiently waiting to welcome the Geeta Chariot and Gurudev’s padukas into their home as blessings. The response has been overwhelming, within a couple of days most of the dates are accounted for.

Though unwell, the presence of the padukas and Geeta Rath made her energetic, enthusiastic and filled with devotion. It was very touching
Pramodini Rao head of Chinmaya Nada Bindu performed beautiful Bhajans .The Video of Gurudev on Single pointedness and Mind and Hand Excellence was shown and a brief talk on Bhagawad Gita . A separate session for children held on Mind power and how to make your intellect sharp and focused was also conducted

Around 65 people attended. A video of Gurudev was shown on Devotion and the role of parents and grandparents was very beautifully explained
Nidhiji's humorous and lively examples enthralled the audience about Garbha sanskar. She also explained how to prepare the mother and family to teach the child Thinking, Love for the Higher and Balance between thoughts and emotions. In the ever changing world, you are changing, your body is changing, and your relationships are changing. Thus, life is a movement in relationships.
The child's body is a new body, but the mind is being carried forward. Therefore, the mind needs to be educated. The purpose of a new born child is to help parents and family members evolve. We all have to grow up with it with humility, contentment and commitment. There is no ownership in motherhood; the baby has its own karmas and purpose to fill.
To bring the child into the world is a choice of the parents. The role of grandparents is of leisure, not purpose. Parents Raise the child, Grandparents Grace the child

The topic of 3 gunas was discussed and the videos shown. Many new people attended and booked dates for Geetathon. It aroused an interest in study. Highlight of the programme was the enthusiasm of the host and desire to see more of Gurudevs videos as old memories of Gurudev came alive.

Swamini ji conducted the session starting with Vishnusahasranama chanting. She then spoke on devotion, nidhidhyasana and captured the audience with her session on contemplation with Nirvan shatkam. Gurudev’s video was played.
The highlight of the evening was Bhajans by Anoop Jalota, and his memories with Gurudev.
