Guru Smaran Saptah
Day 3: 5th May 2021 (Wednesday)
Sevika: Abha Shroff
Attendees: 8
We discussed our reflections on the book “My Trek To Uttarakhand” after chanting the Guru Stotram.
What the class members decided to imbibe in themselves after the reflections were
• Respect for nature and doing all we can to preserve its sanctity
• Hardships come on our path and we have to overcome them
• Embark on our internal journey with faith and determination
• Acceptance of situations when we are pushed out of our comfort zone
• See HIS Glory in nature around us
• Aim of a pilgrimage is to be with yourself
• Titiksha
• Love for the nation
• To be able to sit by yourself
• Not have any complaints
• Not to judge any one
• Positive aspects of pain and solitude
• Develop an eye for detail
• Resilience in Adversity
At the end of the session each and everyone wanted to experience the bliss of the Himalayas. But were apprehensive if they could undertake a trek at their age!! So it was decided that we would visit Uttarkashi as a group next year!
The book ends abruptly and the last line is – “One is left wondering what happened to HIS poor feet…..”
We ended the session with a ‘darshan of HIS Feet’. Sharing it with you all. Hari Om!
