On Sunday 28th February, the first in a series of such planned sessions “Mindful Parenting”, took place at Chinmaya Sagar Churchgate. Starting promptly at 11 am, it was well attended by 50 parents seeking parental guidance in bringing up their 5 – 12 year olds. Conducted by sevika / volunteer Dr. Sunitha Shankar ( Clinical Psychologist ) through examples of day to day experiences & audience participation by interactive Q & A, the three important points of Time – Limits – Caring were stressed upon to improve parental skills. Mothers & fathers went home well equipped with notations in bringing up their children as resilient, valued human beings. Under the Chinmaya banner Dr. Sunitha was well applauded for her skills in imparting the right knowledge of mindful child upbringing.
