Guru Poornima celebration for Chinmaya Narayan Zone was held online on Sunday, 17th July 2022 afternoon.
About 45 Sadhakas joined the celebration via Zoom link.
The programme started with invocation prayers by senior devotee Vatsala Amma.
This was followed by a presentation by the students of Br. Prachiti Chaitanyaji on the importance of a Guru in our journey from being a Jiva to a realised soul using the simile of Dva Suparana from the Mundakopanishad. Br. Prachitiji also gave a short message to all on the occasion of Guru Poornima.
The children from Chinmaya Yuva Kendra conducted an interesting and informative quiz programme in which the Sadhakas participated whole heartedly. The Quiz was entirely designed, directed, and conducted by CHYK.
Soul rendering Guru Paduka Stotram and Guru Bhajans were sung by members of Devi Group.
Shri Sundaram took the participants through the journey of Pujya Gurudev from a mumukshu Shishya to a World-renowned Guru.
Qualities of a Shishya and that of a Guru were elaborated upon in detail by Smt. Pratima and Smt. Gayathri respectively.
The climax was the video of Pujya Gurudev talking about the way to approach a Guru (Ref: Gita Chapter 4, verse 34 – Tat Viddhi Pranipaten…)
The programme ended with the Shanti Mantra and Chinmaya Mission Pledge.
