For me, it was a day when Pujya Gurudev revealed His Presence! For this, I consider myself extremely fortunate. It was Sunday and I was attending the Zen workshop. Someshwar Uncle called to enquire if I would be available for the celebration, as he was out of station! Of course yes! No way could I refuse! Wednesday was the day of celebration of the Birth Anniversary. How to go about it?... I thought. Bala Vihar kids could offer their gratitude with a rendition of the bhajans they have learnt. I could speak on the Chinmaya Way of Life, getting the message through with the help of Chinmaya acronym. Children were called for rehearsal. During the practice session, one of them told the other that they would get cakes. What to do? I was a bit puzzled. I told them probably we would be celebrating the traditional way; no cakes, only payasam. I had a conversation with Miniji who opined that we would celebrate the traditional way and I seconded her. Since I love Dairy Milk chocolates, I offered to get them; but Miniji said that there were already many sweet items and ice-creams too. D-day arrived and around 35 devotees, including Bala Vihar children attended the celebration. One of the devotees offered a packet of Dairy Milk chocolates and the mother of our Bala Vihar children, Sparsh and Krish sent homemade rava cake. Seemingly, Gurudev wanted us, his little disciples to enjoy what we liked! He is always present, watching us, whether in the Centre or out of it. He is not confined within the walls of Chinmaya Mission but He is beyond it. We cannot offer Him enough. Paduka Puja was followed by some of the devotees singing melodious bhajans interspersed with a talk on Chinmaya Way of Life. On the whole, everyone including the kids had a marvellous time!

Gratitude to our Pujya Gurudev for showing His Presence!
