Balvikas Sangh, Chembur and Chinmaya Narayan Zone jointly organized a Geeta Gnyana Yagna in Marathi, during Pitru Paksha. Members of the Balvikas Sangh organize this annual yagna as a homage to ancestors. This year, Swami Medhajanandaji spoke on Bhagavad Gita Chapter 5 in Marathi, in the evening. He spoke in Hindi on Manah Shodhanam, a text written by Pujya Swami Tejomayanandaji, in the morning. His fluent style and simple explanations were very educative and of immense benefit to the seekers. Swamiji in his simple Marathi and with day to day examples made Gita easy to understand and enabled the sadhaks to grasp the subtle aspects. While explaining purification of the mind, as explained in Manah Shodhanam, he said this world is perceived by the BMI. We have a wrong impression that the world is ours and pollute our mind with worldly desires and attachments. We are afraid of the world around us, as we feel the world is separate from us. Once we purify the mind, preparing it for the realization of Truth, it dawns on us that duality is false. The yagna was attended by a hundred devotees approximately.
