Jayam Zone commemorated the day by having a donation drive at Access Life NGO, Bandra West. Access Life provides temporary home for children undergoing cancer treatment along with their parents/caregivers.
Also, the first Paduka Puja for the Maha Sankalp was organized in the evening. The Mukhya Yajmans were Smt.Meera Sarma and Smt.Rupa Kumar, Arti Yajman, Smt. Geeta Bhojwani and the Naivedya Yajaman, Smt. Lata Lulla.
After the Puja, we held an interactive session with film director, Shri R.S. Prasanna, of On A Quest fame. The lively audience of more than 45 persons included Bal Vihar children and parents, study group students and Jayam members. All present had been requested to see the film and acquaint themselves with Gurudev’s life history. It turned out to be an enthralling evening, with the director painstakingly answering all questions and sharing fascinating anecdotes about the making of the film. The session which was scheduled for an hour, went on for considerably longer due to audience demand. It was lovely to see people of various age groups enthusiastically asking questions and Shri Prasanna patiently answered them all. In conclusion, the questions didn’t stop but due to the constraints of time, we had to eventually stop. Despite having seen the film, most people present resolved to watch it again, with the insights that the director shared.
The feedback from the audience has been very encouraging and it is heartening to see how many lives Pujya Gurudev continues to touch. And so, the Quest continues...
