Hanuman Jayanti at Chinmaya Jayam April 6 2023

Chinmaya Jayam celebrated Hanuman Jayanti on Thursday, April 6 at their center in the  Garden Crest Society in Santa Cruz. A total of 23 people attended the celebration. Many of them were old devotees of the Mission who had been waiting for the opportunity to offer their prayers in person. Quite a few were new to the Mission and enjoyed the fellowship.

Smt Pratibha Shah chanted the invocation and welcomed everyone. Lord Hanuman has many qualities to nspire us. Shri Chittoor Manohar then spoke about just 3 of those qualities of Hanuman that all of us should try and emulate. They are Devotion, Loyalty, and Eloquence. He highlighted each quality with a parable. Thereafter, the Hanuman Chalisa was chanted 5 times with fervor. Bhajans were sung. The celebration ended with Aarti to Lord Hanuman and Gurudev. Many of the people had not met each other for many months and they spent some time happily renewing their friendship.
