To facilitate maximum devotees to partake in the celebrations, Hanuman Jayanti was celebrated at Jagadeeshwara Temple on a Sunday morning, 22nd April by Jagadeeshwara Seva group. Swami Bodhatmananda ignited the flame, amidst chanting by the temple priest. Devotees performed havan by offering ghee, kalpur and samit into the common havan kund, placed before a group of four devotees. Hanuman Chalisa was chanted eleven times, creating an aura of sanctity and bliss all around. The yagna was attended by more than 40 devotees. Prasad was offered to the devotees, before they left for the Annakshetra for breakfast. The bhaktas were filled with a feeling of peace and security in knowing that Sankatmochan Hanuman would relieve them of their miseries; Sankat katey mitey sab peeda, jo sumeerey Hanumat balabeera.
